KD 8 pics have arrived

Pictures and videos of what is presumably Kevin Durant's upcoming signature sneaker are all over social media.

This KD 8 is seen in all-red and as comments have pointed out, more or less looks like an Air Max running shoe. One curious feature though is whether the upper material is engineered mesh or the rumored flyknit said to be coming to KD's shoe. Honestly though, it looks like flyknit.

Below are additional screencaps of a video posted by IG user snkr_base

As there is no official word yet from Nike (or if this is indeed the KD 8), there are currently two conflicting dates on this model's release with some saying June and others July. Either way, it should still give you enough time to decide whether to pick up a pair.

Could this be Under Armour's first tennis shoe?

Two-time grandslam champion Andy Murray started the season by jumping from the brand with three stripes to the second-largest US sportswear brand Under Armour.

Not entirely though. While Murray--who won his first grandslam during the 2012 US Open and followed it up with a Wimbledon win in 2013--has been wearing Under Armour apparel since his first tournament of the year in Abu Dhabi, he was still wearing Adidas tennis sneakers.

Until now.

Murray's official Facebook page posted this photo a few hours ago:

Upon closer inspection, it looks like a low-cut Clutchfit Drive basketball shoe and Murray, who is still in contention in the Mutua Madrid Open tournament, certainly can't seem to wait to test out what could very well be his signature sneaker with Under Armour.

It uses the same Micro G foam cushioning system made popular by Under Armour's basketball sneakers and I might as well throw it out there and guess that it also has the same AnaFoam upper.

With Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry winning this year's 2015 KIA NBA MVP award and getting a special edition Curry One, it seems Under Armour is going all out to make sure their athletes get only the best sneakers and that of course includes Murray, who has won his first clay title this year at the BMW Open in Munich.

So are you excited to see Under Armour's first tennis shoe? I'm sure I am.

As if you needed convincing, here are pics of the Jordan 11 BRED lows

When it comes to the Jordan 11, it's quite certain that Jordan Brand wouldn't need to promote it even more. The shoe sells itself as fanboys get wet with with every release of whatever colorway.

So now here's another reason why Michael Jordan will remain a billionaire in the foreseeable future, the low cut version of the grail-status Jordan 11 BREDs (short for black reds).

Release date is set for May 23 and it has an SRP of $170.

And get this, it's apparently going to be a general release so look for it to be rocked to death by every Tom, Dick, and Harry with matching basketball shorts at your local malls.

This Kyrie 1 Wolf Grey will go with anything

Not since the Deceptive Red Kyrie 1 has this signature sneaker seen a more or less monochromatic look. And if you're the type who digs such colorways, then you'll love this Wolf Grey version.

Even the speckles on the heel tab is limited to white, the other primary color in this mostly grey Kyrie 1. What I personally like about mostly-grey sneakers is that lace swaps are almost always nice just in case I want to add a color accent to it.

Check out more pics of this shoe below and be sure to be on the lookout for this on May 9.

Get ready for some Kobe X 'Oreo'

Though there is no official theme for this upcoming white/black/gold Kobe X, referring to this as the "Oreo" colorway should be good enough for now.

Sleek as they come, this should be a welcome breath of fresh air for those who may already be getting tired of the loud colorways prevalent in sneakers today.

Will you be getting this colorway when this comes out on May 21?

KIA NBA MVP Stephen Curry gets special edition Under Armour signature kicks

After leading the Golden State Warriors to an impressive 67-15 franchise record in the regular season, it only seemed fitting that Stephen Curry is named Most Valuable Player of the 2014-2015 season.

As if Under Armour's Curry One basketball sneakers aren't popular already with sneakerheads, a special colorway will be launched on June 13 to commemorate Curry's achievement.

Damian Lillard urges you to go to MiAdidas right now (hint: discount)

Don't you just love it when your endorser goes out of his way to promote your brand?

And what a sleek-looking colorway to inspire you with. For just around $100 after the discount, you can get your personalized DLillard1 without making your wallet cry. How about that for an assist from the Portland Trailblazers guard?

Sucks though that shipping outside the US doesn't seem possible still or else I'd be all over that pair above and this Bruce Lee-inspired one right here:

Masters of Max: The Air Max Icons

The Air Max family spans numerous generations. With the Air Max 1 leading the charge, the family's various iterations have taken on personalities of their own. None will be forgotten but some have come to stand apart, becoming known for their bold colors, spirited designs and pivotal roles in the evolution of visible air. As the countdown to the second annual Air Max Day continues, Nike takes a look back to remember the Icons of the Air Max Family: The Masters of Max.

Air Max 1

Innovation isn't always visible — but when it is, its impact can be immeasurable. In 1987, Nike introduced the Nike Air Max 1, the first shoe to put innovation on full display.

Created as a cushioning system, Nike Air suddenly became a window of opportunity for self-expression, style, and crucially, pure performance. The Nike Air Max 1 arrived as a provocateur and a revolutionary, and the sneaker world was never the same. Tinker Hatfield was the lead designer who brought the Air Max to life. At the time, Nike Air was nothing new. Introduced in late 1978 in the Nike Air Tailwind, the Air-Sole unit was effectively hidden in foam.

However, Hatfield, a trained architect with a knack for changing the game, took a maverick piece of Parisian architecture as inspiration and cut away at the surrounding foam midsole to reveal a larger Air-Sole unit, proving its existence with audacious visibility.

“I specifically went to Paris to see the city, but also to visit the Pompidou Center,” Hatfield says. “It was a building turned inside out, with a glass skin underneath. Coming back to Oregon, I had meetings with the technicians who were working on the larger Air-sole units and I relayed my thoughts: Maybe we could also expose the Air-Sole technology and create a shoe that's like no other.”

At the time, many people considered the idea outlandish, but Hatfield and the team pushed forward. To further stand out from the era’s running shoes and drive home the message of visibility, the first Nike Air Max featured an attention-seeking bold color palette. The Air Max family has evolved over the past 28 years, with hundreds of memorable make-ups, but each model owes its existence in part to the transcendent Nike Air Max 1.
