Release reminder: Nike Lebron 12 'Wheat'

When Nike took a risk on a high school phenom from St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio, they went all out by giving him a signature shoe that would help in catapulting his name atop the very talented class of the 2003 NBA Draft.

The Air Zoom Generation was highly coveted with the promise that Lebron James would live up to his billing. And so he did.

For the Rookie Challenge during NBA All Star Weekend 2004, James wore a wheat-colored version of the Air Zoom Generation on his way to racking up 33 points.

Fast-forward to now, that wheat colorway makes a return in the Lebron 12 EXT model. A nubuck upper with metallic gold accents make this particular colorway stand out once more. The heel pull-tab features 2.13.04 to commemorate the aforementioned game.

Meant to be worn off-court, it certainly brings back a lot of nostalgia. But should you decide to play ball in it, don't worry about anyone telling you otherwise because they'd be too busy looking at your kicks.
